Allocations

United Way Funding

United Way Ballarat allocates funding annually in the latter half of the calendar year.

The key milestones of this process are:

  • Applications for funding for the following year are called for up to six weeks before closing date
  • Activation of volunteer Allocations Committee
  • Committee meets, applies criteria to applications and makes recommendations
  • Allocations Committee reviews applications and makes recommendations to the Board
  • Community Partners are advised of the results of their application
  • Funds are distributed quarterly in arrears - March, June, September, and December
  • In July and December of the funding year, progress reports are submitted for review by United Way.
